Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is the computer game released by Blizzard Entertainment, on which the Hive Workshop was based on supporting back in it's beginning. The World Editor feature in the Warcraft III game allows custom models, skins and icons along with other things to be imported, and the Hive Workshop contain a vast selection of such resources.
An expansion set for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos called Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne was released in 2003, which included many new features for the classic game.
The remastered version called Warcraft III: Reforged has been released on January 28, 2020.
